Diamond and Gemstone Brokering:
Jewelry Studio has numerous diamond and gemstone sources across the nation that are used in acquiring the highest quality of diamonds and precious gemstones at the best value possible. Jewelry Studio's GIA Graduate Gemologists are trained and educated in both diamonds and colored stones to expertly assist you in finding your ideal stone(s). Jewelry Studio is here to give you the knowledge necessary to make an informed decision when choosing the right stone(s) for you. Depending on your preferences, Jewelry Studio will obtain the best value for the diamond or precious gemstone being requested and then presents it for your approval. There is no commitment to purchase a stone brought in for approval other than a deposit, which will depend on the value of the stone being requested. The deposit is non-refundable, but will be applied towards the purchase price for that particular stone(s).
Jewelry Studio custom designs and creates their own unique pieces of jewelry. Depending on your vision for the piece of jewelry that you are interested in purchasing, it is Jewelry Studio's pleasure to help create it. If you are unsure of exactly what you are looking for, Jewelry Studio's designers will help you create the design you're looking for. Jewelry Studio wants to make this an enjoyable experience and will start by working with you to get ideas of various styles that you like. Once there is a concept of the overall design, a deposit of $300 is required so that Jewelry Studio's designers can proceed in creating an accurate to-scale design for your approval. This onetime deposit allows for changes and modifications to be made until the design meets your approval. The design deposit is non-refundable but will be applied towards the purchase price of the piece of jewelry.
It is our sincere hope that you will enjoy wearing your jewelry from Jewelry Studio for many years. However, please remember that fine jewelry is a precious possession that requires proper care and maintenance to assure its lasting beauty and qualities. Jewelry is worn by millions of people every day, but few recognize how they can preserve their treasures just by using simple considerations. Here are some basic guidelines to consider when wearing your rings and other pieces of jewelry.
Remove Jewelry While Performing Strenuous Tasks
When performing manual tasks remove your jewelry to prevent physical damage or exposure to chemicals.
Avoid wearing your jewelry while doing the following:
Kitchen Work: Harsh chemicals and dish soaps can discolor, dissolve, and damage stones and metal bands. Strong dish soaps may remove the rhodium plating from white gold rings.
House Cleaning: Bleach, vinegar and other cleansers can damage settings and weaken the structure of certain gems and precious metals. Some cleaners can even change the color of your setting itself.
Sleeping: Jewelry may become damaged if hit against a headboard or nightstand while sleeping. Prongs may snag on sheets or nightwear and become bent.
Gardening: Can cause deep scratches and deeply embedded dirt, that may be difficult to remove.
Lifting or Moving Heavy Objects: Can bend metals and loosen stones. It is risky to wear your jewelry when doing any kind of manual labor. You could damage the setting or chip and crack diamonds and gemstones.
Lifting Weights: Lifting weights and using weight machines creates pressure against the metal and stones. The metal can bend, knick, and scratch. When the metal bends the stones can become loose and even fall out. Hitting jewelry against hard objects can also bend the metal, loosen stones, cause deep scratches, and cause prongs to bend or break.
Sports: Hard blows during sports can damage jewelry. Having a strong grip on sports equipment can potentially bend metals, loosen stones, and cause unnecessary scratching.
Swimming or Hot Tubs: Chlorine, minerals, water treatments, and salt can possibly cause color changes and even structural damage. Cold water can cause your ring to slip off and possibly lost in a pool, lake, or ocean.
Avoid dropping Jewelry on hard surfaces: This can damage the setting and chip or crack stones, even diamonds can chip and crack if hit with enough force at the right angle.
Things You Should Do to Properly Care for Your Jewelry:
See an authorized jeweler for your jewelry at least twice a year and have the jeweler inspect your prongs, stones and setting for any damage. In addition to performing any necessary work, your jeweler will professionally polish and clean your jewelry. Inspections and cleanings are a complimentary service at Jewelry Studio and you may come in for them as often as you please.
Promptly bring your jewelry to your professional jeweler if you notice any signs of damage or loose stones.
Put Jewelry On After Showering and Applying Cosmetics: Soaps, makeup, hairspray, perfumes, lotions, and hand sanitizers can contain alcohol and other chemicals that can dull, contaminate, damage, and even remove rhodium plating.
Store your jewelry in a safe place where it will not be damaged, lost, or stolen. Don't store diamond jewelry next to other jewelry pieces as this can cause scratches. A fabric-lined jewelry case with separate compartments is Ideal.
Our warranties do not include center stones. Jewelry Studio strongly recommends having any high value piece of jewelry appraised and insured for a current replacement value to protect against loss, damage, or theft. Our warranties do not cover damage caused by an accident or improper wear. Normal wear is expected and a responsibility of the purchaser. Warranties are only valid when jewelry is inspected, cleaned and repaired by an authorized jeweler. For a warranty to remain valid, your jewelry must be inspected by an authorized dealer at least twice a year.
